The Valley Lacrosse Club (the “Club”) is committed to respecting and protecting an individual’s personal data and privacy and complying with the principles under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

 

1. Personal Data Held by the Club

Personal data collected and held by the Club includes names, date of birth, addresses, telephone numbers, mobile numbers, email addresses of members and players of the Club.

The Club will not collect any personal information from you unless you voluntarily choose to submit or otherwise disclose such information to us, including information submitted or disclosed by mail, telephone, fax or electronically.

2. Purposes of Personal Data Collection

The abovementioned personal data will be used only for the purposes specified below: -

 

(i)               to promote and deliver services and activities by the Club;

(ii)              to participate in tournaments, campaigns and a variety of activities;

(iii)            to contact users;

(iv)            to disseminate news and information regarding the Club;

(v)            to engage contractors and/or service providers to fulfil operational needs of the Club; and

(vi)           other purposes as required by law, regulations and/or rules from time to time.

 

Personal data may also be used for business communications, organising educational and training activities, conducting surveys, direct marketing, administrative and operational matters, etc.

 

3. Transfer

The Club may be required by the law to disclose personal data held by the Club.

The Club may also transfer personal data to the Club’s related and/or associated organisations/companies, agents, independent contractors, business partners and service providers, as necessary for any of the purposes stated above.

4. Security

The Club will take reasonably practicable steps to ensure the security of personal data and to protect it against loss or any unauthorised use. Only authorised personnel will be permitted to access such personal data.

 

5. Retention

The Club will retain personal data for no longer than is required for the aforesaid purposes, subject to any legal and regulatory requirements.

6. Direct Marketing Activities

The Club will obtain an individual’s prior consent before his/her personal data is used for direct marketing activities.

7. Right to Access and Correct
